Left Behind... should've been left behind.
It’s called "Left Behind" because that's what you'll be doing with this campaign after dying on the second level and ripping your hair off.
The first level was absolutely abysmal. There are two areas in which you’re confronted with unrelenting hordes.
- First section: They come from the front. They come from the back. They come from the sides. They even come from angles you didn't think were possible. Don't turn around for even a second, or else a group of them will appear out of the goddamned nowhere, like weeping angels from Doctor Who.
- Second section: for some reason, a bell is sounded as you walk down the street, and more mobs and specials show up, all the way until the survivors get to the safe room. The icing on the cake? No ammo, health, or grenades along the way. So much for a first level.
The second level was basically this: run back and forth about ten times through a bunch of confusing corridors while fending off against… you guessed it… even more hordes! Right at the end of it, I succumbed to a tank matched with specials, because ten minutes of constant hordes wasn’t enough. Ultimately I decided to leave this campaign behind, because SNAP forbid… I can’t imagine this campaign has much to offer outside of this.
The level design is probably the only, and I mean the only somewhat enjoyable thing about this campaign. There are some pretty interesting areas… but even then, the environmental lighting is so bad - it doesn’t do it justice.
